Given that the current era of AI, Big Data, and IoT is already perceived as the beginning of the fourth industrial revolution, which will reshape the world with novel discoveries in years to come, it also offers exciting challenges to computer scientists to find the best solution with available and limited resources. The potential for using new technologies to tackle societal challenges that will help many people is particularly noteworthy. To find solid answers to such complicated problems, new infrastructural systems, analytical techniques, and integrated devices must be developed. Our objective is to offer AI-based solutions to deal with these social problems. We incorporate practical issues, real - world application, and data from our experts in the field with exploratory computer science. Along with commercializing our research and partaking in several outreach initiatives, we also contribute to the creation and maintenance of research infrastructure.
This lab was established by professor Khalilur Rahman in October 2021 with the participation of his former and current BRAC University students. It had 11 members at first, later we had a few more members to our team. Each member was given a distinct job based on their experience, such as technical leader, researcher, student researcher, and volunteer. We operate in smaller departments such as the IoT and development team and the AI and research team. In accordance with their areas of expertise, members are assigned various duties.
